Cinema Alliance and Classy Boyz Entertainment proudly present a screening of Cry of the City Part 1: The Legend of Cornbread.

This documentary chronicles the life of Philadelphia-based legend Darryl ?Cornbread? McCray, the man credited as being the father of modern day graffiti and hip hop.

Cry of the City... profiles Cornbread?s life, from growing up tagging walls to the ups and downs that led to his dedication as a social worker and father.

Interviews throughout the documentary with Jane Golden (Philadelphia Mural Arts), Pose 2 (another wall-writer), his son Troy, and friends show different facets of the man and how he helped establish a world-wide cultural movement.

The screening will be followed by a meet-and-greet with Cornbread along with a screening of the movie Beat Street.
