The evening will begin with The Living Wake, a dark comedy where an eccentric man with one day left to live is taken around town by his best friend, handing out invitations to his last performance.

The floor will then open up to an exclusive Q&A with the film’s director, Sol Tryon, followed by a free prize giveaway.

To wrap the night, we will present an Undercover Feature. The name of the Undercover Feature will not be announced until exhibition, but clues will be circulated online. Can you uncover the mystery?

Philadelphia Filmmakers Salon

If you're a filmmaker, screenwriter or actor and want to meet, connect and socialize with others, this is the place for you. This monthly event gives you the opportunity to see what projects members of the local film community are working on and gather in a casual setting. You can also bring a work in progress to screen and get feedback from your peers (DVD or VHS format only, please), or have a reading of pages of your script-in-progress.

There is no charge to attend, but please RSVP so we know how many to expect.

This month's meeting will be held at Filmtech, a new independent film school that recently opened in Philadelphia. Filmtech offers classes for film production as well as a space for shooting and to host screening events. Below is a description of Filmtech and some information about their services. Filmtech, Philadelphia's independent film school, offers courses in all aspects of film and video production, from videography and cinematography to screenwriting and film history. Whether you have a general interest in film, want to start producing your own work, or want to begin a career in the film and video business, Filmtech is the place for you. Located in South Philadelphia, a half block from Broad Street and Snyder Avenue, Filmtech offers a wide variety of individual classes on a short-term basis - 10 weeks or fewer, at night and on weekends to fit your schedule. Instructors are drawn from the Philadelphia area's rich pool of talented professionals working in academia, for production companies and as filmmakers and crew members.
