Lansdale Center for the Performing Arts and Lansdale Theatre Works
Host an Afternoon Event featuring Music, Scene Performances, Food, a Photography Exhibit, an Auction, and Movie.
Marja Kaisla, the Artistic and Executive Director with Lansdale Center for the Performing Arts (LCPA) and Dawn Harvey, Artistic Director with Lansdale Theatre Works (LTW) are hosting the event on Sunday, December 13.
Doors open at 2:00 PM. LCPA is located at 311 W. Main St, Lansdale, PA 19446. The Center’s contact by phone is 215-361-1296 and website is www.lansdalecpa.org.
The event is a joint introduction to the groups, facility, and a fundraiser. The newly opened, beautiful facility of LCPA, with its extensive programming, educational classes, and art gallery and the newly formed theatre company, LTW, offer the residents of Lansdale and the surrounding communities a treasure trove of performance events on a weekly schedule.
Cost is $25 per person, in advance and $35 per person at the door and includes all portions of the event.
Continuous activities are planned and include:
Live music provided by two groups, Lazy Sunday and Vintage Cool. Multiple genres.
Light fare, soft drinks, and wine poured by Country Creek Winery.
An art exhibit by noted fashion photographer and painter, Stephen Ladner, with the artist in attendance to meet in the Center’s gallery. Mr. Ladner’s work has been featured in numerous publications including Town & Country, French Vogue, and The New York Times. The artist has graciously donated a work to be included in the auction.
Lansdale Theatre Works members will be performing selected scenes from their upcoming show, The Miser, throughout the event.
There will be a silent auction, with many interesting items to bid on, as well as a live auction at 4:00PM. Well-known auctioneer, Michael Ivankovich, will conduct the live auction.
The movie, Basquiat (1996), presented by LCPA, will be shown immediately following the auction. All are invited to attend the showing.
The movie chronicles the meteoric rise of street artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, “discovered” by Andy Warhol’s art world, who becomes a star, and eventually pays a high price because of it.
A truly entertaining afternoon has been planned for your enjoyment.
For more information, and to RSVP, call LCPA at 215-361-1296 or log on to the website www.lansdalecpa.org to purchase your tickets.

I recently attended my first Night Watch at Rembrandts and can't say enough good things about the experience. Dave does a great job hosting the event and showing films from the filmmakers that show up and contribute their work, so this is a great opportunity to have your work screened.

The screening room upstairs is great, nice big screen, good sound and an awesome view of the Philly skyline.

I'd also recommend eating at Rembrandt's - great food, very reasonable prices and plenty of parking.

Don't miss out! Stop by and check out this event, be sure to bring your business cards too as there are plenty of people to network with!
