Introduction

I am an aspiring filmmaker living in Harrisburg PA. I never went to film school, but I am strongly motivated by my love of movies and passion for story telling. I am ready for the next step and need to work with people who have experience.

What do you do? (Actor, Screenwriter, filmmaker, other)

I want to direct my own movies, but also enjoy writing.

What are your future film goals?

I started a small production company, BroadTree Entertainment. My short term goals are to learn and hone my craft with shorts over the next 5 years. Show my work at festivals. Build a portfolio and resources for a full feature by year 7.

What is your age?

I am 38 years old.

Do you have a current project? Idea? do you need help with it?

Yes. My first short, entitled "Deep Love" - a story about a psycholgist trapped in a troubled marriage who orchestrates a game of puppeteer with a mysterious and dangerous patient in attempt to discover herself.

Why would someone want to network with you? What do you bring to the table?

Though I have no formal training I have a huge investment in time and resources in picking up what I know. I have a decent library of books, DVDs, software and equipment - a GL2, lighting kit, tripods, dolly, etc. - items available to the group.

I'm new here and wanted to participate and get to meet people, and maybe someone just dropped the ball on this one. If not, and this is how these things normally play out then it seems I have made a serious mistake joining this group. Though most of us would be labeled with an amature status, I seriously had hoped that we would be dealt with in a professional manner. i hope that someone seriously dropped the ball on this one, and this was just a blip, and abnormal, freakishly sad but unintentional mistake. If not I am gravely disappointed.
