It stars Lane Davies and Hannah Bryan, but has several New Orleans cast members including Wayne Morgan, Margie Perez, Deanna Meske, Hunter McGregor and Natasha Wilson. It will be on May 8, at the Hi Ho Lounge 2239 St. Claude Street where some of the scenes were actually shot. There will also be live music from Smoky Greenwell and the Blues Gnus, and Margie Perez. Tonight is the night. I must say that I am saddened and surprised that with over 300 members in this group only 2 other than myself and the people I'm bringing have RSVPed to attend the screening. I had thought that this was about supporting other film makers in NOLA. Such apathy is not what I expected.

There are some new developments to this screening. 2 other short films have been added. "The Route of all Evil" by Nevada McPherson, and "Peepshow Creep" by Terror Optics will be screening prior to "Dixie Melodie". In addition, Blantons Bourbon will be providing samples of their fantastic bourbon for the event. The whole thing kicks off at 9pm on May 8th. I hope that I can meet with as many of you as possible.

It was a great screening of all 3 films. The audience response was very good for all, but especially for Dixie Melodie". On the downside, there were not ANY people from the Meetup Group, other than those involve in the film. Which is a sad commentary on this group as a whole. Terrible actually. Screening gets an A+ Meetup Group fails miserably.
