Mia A River Runs Through it was a great film and visually it was incredibly shot. I am hopeful that this Meetup Group will provide a base for what you want to accomplish. There is nothing like seeing your script translate onto the screen. Paul

I want to learn how to make small indie films, and my standars are pretty high in terms of quality. Trip to Bountiful, A River Runs Through It and Fried Green Tomatoes are the types of films I'd like to make. On the other hand, I love horror movies, but dislike all the gore films that came out in the 80's. I'd like to learn how to write a really good horror script loosely based on historic fact of some place, and then film it. This is what I mean about starting from the very beginning. See ya!

    •  It was a terrific meetup -- informative, inspiring, and much better than an actual "class". Paul is a wonderful educator, and a very nice, down-to-earth, funny person.

Paul was very informative and got me psyched about trying to write a movie scene. I learned more about movies than I had expected. It also reminded me of the fun I had when I was a kid with a Super 8mm camera making movies wtih my friends.
    •  I really enjoyed Paul's knowledge on filming and screen writing. I personally like acting for the first time. Can't wait for the next meet up!
    •  Paul is the real deal. Good energy and commited. I'm in.
    •  We covered alot very quickly in a short period of time, but it was eye opening.I like that Paul does not waste time in class, but gets right down to business straight away.We started filing from the first class, which is great.I can't wait to submit some written scenes.I really hope we talk about using different cameras and lenses and equipment too. What a terrific class.

It was so nice of the organizer to put this together for no fee. He put a lot of energy into it and it was very informative.
    •  Lovely job summarizing a ridiculous amount of material in a ridiculously short time frame.
    •  very informative
    •  Superb!
    •  I think the meeting was well organized. It was obvious that the host of the meeting was well prepared for the meeting. Alot of topics in film making were covered in a short period of time. i am looking forward to the next meeting.
