Session 1: Making the Blueprint; In this 4-week block, you will go from idea to development of your story. Even if you don?t consciously have one at the beginning of class, you will leave your first session with your story idea, writing schedule and accountability partner. Focus on the development of characters, story skeleton and the first 10 pages.

Session 2: Writing the script; In this 4-week block, you will build on your blueprint and create Acts 1 and 2. Story outlines will be checked for holes and inconsistencies before going forth with story development. Scripts are read out loud in class to check for format and story inconsistencies.

Session 3: Finishing and Selling; In this 4-week block, students will finish their scripts before moving into the business of pitching, marketing and selling your screenplay. Also included will be information about agents, attorneys, contracts and closing the deal.

Learn screenplay structure and format; how to build the perfect blueprint; what to write; how to write from scenario to script; Spielberg?s second act; Star Trek endings; first drafts, rewrites and polishes; and the real role of the screenwriter.

Screenwriting Services:
Script Coverage ? Do you have a finished screenplay? Want to know how it stacks up? Our coverage service reads your script and then writes coverage detailing the story and how sellable it is. You will receive overall notes about the script. $75/script up to120 pages.

Script Analysis - Our script analysis service is for writers who want more detailed notes. We will mark up your script with notes and corrections to help make your screenplay stronger.
