About The Chicago Film Producers Alliance

The Chicago Film Producers Alliance (CFPA) is a support and resource sharing group aimed at helping independent producers through the process of completing their films and obtaining distribution. The group is focused on helping its members successfully navigate the steps and overcome the challenges and roadblocks encountered during the five major stages of film making: development, preproduction, production, post and distribution. The CFPA was founded specifically to address the needs of Producers, Line Producers, Associate Producers, UPMs, Production Coordinators, Production Assistants, Post Supervisors and Executive Producers.

Anyone with a role in film production (e.g., directors, actors, screenwriters, crew) and an interest in producing may join the group. However, the CFPA is not focused on acting, directing, screenwriting, etc. The group is intended to help members develop, execute and complete quality films that are aimed at obtaining distribution and achieving a profit, or competing in contests and film festivals.
