No cookout set up yet for Independence Day? Well, how about an All-American Classic Film that's over in time to jockey for space on the West Side to see the fireworks if you'd like?

The movie that made Ann-Margret a star is back! She's a teen who's been chosen to give Conrad Birdie (a pseudo Elvis) his farewell kiss as he gives a last performance on the Ed Sullivan show before enlisting in the army. Dick Van Dyke co-stars at the idol's agent with frustrated girlfriend Janet Leigh in tow. Paul Lynde of "Hollywood Squares" fame plays Ann-Margret's equally frustrated pop who's got to deal with his daughter's new-found prominence. Haven't seen this in years, but as I recall, it's quite a romp.

Admission: $11 + $1 meetup maintenance fee
